Brief Introduction: Nordark, a pre-seed company offering banking and services for blockchain businesses, wanted to make it easy for these businesses to manage their money. Their platform combines traditional banking with crypto trading in a secure and affordable way.
Problem Statement: Designing a user-friendly platform for this innovative financial product presented unique challenges. With no direct competitors, creating a clear and engaging design required careful consideration. The team needed to present complex data in an accessible way, while also ensuring the design was original and distinct within the emerging fintech landscape.

To ensure Nordark's platform was both user-friendly and competitive, I conducted user research, analyzed competitor platforms, and streamlined transaction flows. Through wireframes, prototypes, and user testing, I created an effective and intuitive design that simplified complex banking tasks for blockchain businesses.

I worked with the product owner to understand how users would interact with the platform. We then designed simple and intuitive wireframes for key tasks like making payments, trading crypto, and managing security settings. Sign up flow
To improve Nordark's sign-up process, I focused on making it more secure and user-friendly. By adding two-factor authentication and clearer instructions, new users can easily and safely create an account. The updated design is both visually appealing and informative, providing a professional first impression.
Create payment
The new payment process is simpler, faster, and easier to understand. By streamlining the steps and using clear visuals, it creates a smoother, more intuitive experience for users.
Transactions
The redesigned transaction board is much improved! It's easier to use and understand thanks to a cleaner layout, clearer icons, and a better organized information structure. You can easily view transaction history, search and filter transactions, and use it with multiple currencies. Plus, it even has a dark mode for better accessibility.
Crypto dashboard
The crypto section is well-designed and easy to navigate. It has all the key features users need, like trading charts, market data, and different transaction options. The information is presented in a clear and organized way, making it simple for users to find what they're looking for.
UI Design
To make Nordark's platform both visually appealing and user-friendly, I created a complete design system. This system ensured a consistent look and feel across the platform and improved the overall user experience. Here's how:
Color: I used a dark color scheme with vibrant blue accents. This is easier on the eyes and helps important elements stand out.
Typography: Clear and simple fonts were chosen to make information easy to read and understand.
Icons: Modern icons were used to help users quickly understand different functions.
Visual Hierarchy: Important information was emphasised using font size, weight, and color. This helps users easily find what they need.
Spacing: I used plenty of space between elements to avoid clutter and make the design feel more open and easy to navigate.
Accessibility: The design system followed accessibility guidelines to make sure everyone can use the platform.
This comprehensive design system helped create a professional, user-friendly platform that is both visually appealing and easy to use.
Results & Impact
By researching users and competitors, I pinpointed ways to improve Nordark's platform. This included simplifying transactions, currency conversions, and creating user-friendly settings with strong security and privacy controls.
I developed a design system with reusable components to ensure a consistent look and efficient design process. This resulted in a strong visual identity that sets Nordark apart.
